Foggy Foggy Romp

Hi! Everyone!
It's been very foggy in our neighbourhood lately.

Come on up to the top of the hill.

Thick as pea soup, as the Brits say.

I know there's a huge ocean out there.

But you'd never know it today.

Even if I strain and cross my eyes,
I can't see my North Atlantic Ocean.

So, if that's the way it's going to be today,

then a good back scratch and roll

will take my mind off the missing ocean.

Now I feel a whole lot better
and now maybe my magic roll
will make something visible.
Stayed tuned and I'll show you
what I finally saw
...next time.

Wee Bit Daffy !

The guys have noticed that when it comes to my daffodils....

I am a wee bit daffy about the yellow fellers.

To me they are the sweetest flowers with their "stand on guard for thee" stance!
(just a plug for Canada's National anthem)

What I like to do is to keep them nice and clean.
You never know who might drop in.
The spring rains make them droop,
so just a little lick here and
a little slurp there
and
my babies are
looking spritely again.

There now, I feel that the daffs are ready.

nice, eh!

Now then, if anyone is coming down my way,
I'm ready for you
psst...and so are the daffs!

Coffee with a 'doodle!

Since coffee is a staple of my Dads' day...

I thought it would be great to show you where they have coffee sometimes.

Marshall spurred us on to divulge some information about our little world,

so take a look at the link above.

AND welcome to those who have jumped on board!

Coffee, a 'doodle and surf's up...

What more could you ask for!
Now could they have their Americanos
soon!

Grand "Pops" is coming Home!

It's a beautiful spring morning and I'm out in the garden.

~~~chionodoxa forbesii (glory of the snow)~~~
chionodoxa forbesii (glory of the snow)
...speckled violets popping through...
...Blue Scylla dappled in dew...
...Erica carnea (spring heather) in full bloom...
Two busy bees gathering nectar
This is just the beginning and there's more to come!
AND
Just got a phone call and Pops is coming home.
Doctor says his healing will be much quicker in familiar surroundings.
AND
Your prayers worked!!!
How about that power of suggestion!
Trooper, another New Friend!
We decided to take a break from the hospital routine,
since the sun was shining.
So we trekked over to Point Pleasant Park to walk and seek out new friends.
We discovered Trooper on the path that had mayflowers the other day.
Trooper is a Greyhound/?mix.
We were told he was afraid of men,
since he was a rescue dog mistreated by gruff men.
Ron is so good with canines and Trooper started coming around.
So, I figured it was OK to share Ron again.
A lot of that seems to go on at the Park!
After a vigorous and playful run through the thickets,
 teasing Trooper with Mr. Orangie,
I sat down for a breather before  heading off to find a good swamp pool
to cool off in....
I DID!
smiles all around
from me at least!
Me and My Shadow
Is my shadow really that big?
I look to the right....
I look to the left...
and whose shadow is that in front of me?
So Many Thank Yous!
Just wanted to express my gratitude
to all of my followers
who sent those healing vibes~~~
to Pops.
I saw on the ground this morning these daffodils pushing through last year's Linden Tree leaves.
 They symbolize the amount of support that Pop's family
have shown for his care and recovery.
I spent some time in the garden after the rains of last night.
The daffodils were so perky and erect
so I scooted Ron over to them while I managed to munch on some green grass.
The individual stems are strong and vibrant
and the droplets of fresh morning rain cleanse the soul.
These daffodils give me such great hope
that Pops will feel better over the next few days.
I'm very attuned to you humans, you know.
and nothing gets by me.
So, with this being a religious season,
I hope you are able to include
my Pops in your prayers.
I know how devoutly religious he is
and he would so appreciate your thoughts!
